Get to know National Museum of Iran

National Museum of Iran, the biggest, the oldest and the most important museum of the country, is home to precious items from different eras.

The museum presents rare items from ancient Iran and the Islamic era.

You can find there items from Old Stone Age to the end of Sassanid era and also the art of the Islamic era.

The museum was designed by the French architect and archeologist André Godard and performed by Iranian architects Abbasali Memar and Morad Tabrizi.

Designing the museum, Godard was inspired by the Persian monument Taq Kasra.

Annually, thousands of enthusiasts from Iran and around the world visit the museum and are amazed by the diversity of items and the eras that it covers.
